Micarta is a phenolic composite — layered linen or canvas resin-pressed under heat — and black micarta in particular develops a quiet patina over time. Slightly lighter than G10 and warmer to the touch, it gives the Aubergine-BM a character the all-black version doesn't have.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAt 3.7 oz it's noticeably lighter than the G10 variant — 0.4 oz less with no compromise to structural integrity. Full tang construction means the steel runs through the entire handle, bonded to the scales.
