The Hummingbird-GM is the lightest folder in the Hummingbird lineup — 2.68 oz, 3.8'' closed, stonewash blade against micarta scales. Everything about it is calibrated toward carry comfort without giving up what makes a knife useful.
Micarta handle scales are the key difference from the G10 variants. The material is slightly warmer to the touch, absorbs the minor oils from daily handling, and develops a surface patina that makes the knife feel increasingly personal over time. Green micarta in particular starts muted and deepens with carry — not dramatically, but noticeably. It's a material that rewards long-term use.
Stonewash blade finish sits naturally against the micarta — it has enough texture and warmth to match the handle without competing with it. The drop point geometry is straightforward and versatile: a predictable tip, a long usable edge, no learning curve. 14C28N Sandvik at 60±2 HRC holds a working edge through daily tasks and sharpens quickly when needed.
