The Lacerta-AL is the most understated knife in the series — and deliberately so. Sandblasted blade finish is pure matte: no sheen, no reflection, no visual noise. It's a finish that communicates function over form, the kind of surface treatment you see on tools that are meant to be used rather than admired. Against aluminum foil handle scales the effect is cohesive — two materials that share the same industrial logic.

Aluminum foil handles are lighter than micarta, cooler than copper, and more rigid than G10 composites at comparable thickness. The foil structure gives the surface a subtle texture and visual depth that flat aluminum can't achieve — it catches light differently at every angle without ever becoming decorative. Over time it develops minor surface character that makes each knife distinct.

14C28N Sandvik at 58-60 HRC is a steel that prioritizes toughness and ease of sharpening alongside solid daily edge retention. The pointed blade geometry keeps the profile slim and precise — useful for the actual tasks an EDC knife faces every day. Liner lock is mechanically simple and fast in both directions.
